Well, the internet never ceases to amaze me. Of course, that must happen to everybody, but this time i was amazed by something i thought i knew a thing or two about... Facebook!!
I've been on Facebook for a long time now, and i thought i knew facebook. I would always be invited in groups and stuff, but i never really got involved deeper with Facebook's Groups until recently... Big thanks to &pi.shopandsell because he played a major role in getting me involved a little deeper...
And after getting involved in groups on a personal level - not just liking/joining and never visiting again - i started reading and decided to learn more about this Facebook Group thing... Well, it's a whole little university course...
First of all a Facebook Groups is one thing, while a Facebook Fan Page is another thing... Both are essentially the same, but completely different, confusing rightT?
The Groups have members, the Fan Pages have Likes.
In the Groups you just kind of add people if you want to, they don't even have to accept if you add them, in the Fan Pages you can invite them to Like.
For the Groups you can only add people one by one, while on the Fan Pages you can easily select your entire friends list and suggest the Fan Page to everybody.
Creating a groups is just a name, a logo, and it's created... Creating a Fan Page is a little more complicated than that, or at least that's the impression i got until now, i'm still a newb, learning all the tricks of the trade...
All in all, i think that the Groups are better than pages because people Liking a page sounds so casual, but becoming a Member of a Group sounds a little more official, so your chances of building a real community and people interacting in that community is higher with a group, i believe...
Anyway, i still have a lot to learn, but if you were wondering, or had no idea about whati mentioned above, now you know. And i'm not some sort of a Groups, Fan Pages expert, im a newb and i just got into learning these things less than a week ago...
So any tips my fellow Bubblers who are more experienced in this matter can give, would be much appreciated...
I mean, i would have just asked &pi.shopandsell , and i do and he is helpful- But he's a hard man to reach!! Always busy.....
Plus im always worried not to annoy him too much... :p
