For the last couple of months i have been working for a transcription company which outsources the work to a lot of people.
The files are given in small 10second - 1,30minute files and there is not always work to be done. I like working there because it's a friendly company, there is a company's social network for support, and it brings in $15-$20 per month with minimal effort.
Yesterday they started doing tests and whoever failed the test twice was going to be "fired", sort off. They just wouldn't be able to continue working there.
Anyway, i took my first shot at the test yesterday after being awake for 28 Hours, and failed! :(
=======================
Here are the scores i got:
Punctuation 3 66.67/93.33/0.00
Capitalization 4 100.00/100.00/100.00/100.00
Transcription accuracy 2 99.25/87.76
=======================
The scores are by percentage% and there was a percentage% for each category that was required to pass. I failed because of that 0 in Punctuation which brought down my percentage below the level which was needed.
After that i went to sleep. I slept a lot, i needed it especialy considering the drug test and the court trial i had yesterday - It was an exhausting day.
So i woke up some 2 hours ago, ate, had my coffee, and decided to take the test again.
========================
Here are the scores i got today:
Punctuation 3 75.00/100.00/100.00
Capitalization 4 100.00/100.00/100.00/100.00
Transcription accuracy 2 100.00/93.33

HOORAY CHILDREN!!! I PASSED!!! :)
It just goes to show that humans (at least me) cannot perform tired and sleepy as well as they can perform rested and awake. This is my own personal Clinical Study on the matter.
I should write a book or a scientific paper on it, sell it, and retire haha :D
