This is a personal feeling i have towards a business model of some online websites which bring together people who need work done, and freelancers who are willing to do the work.
You can probably assume what i'm talking about if you've been around long enough, those Freelancing sites.
For example:
+FreelancerWhen i started looking for ways to make money online, these sites were one of the first i stumbled upon. They looked exciting because you can find all sorts of jobs, so i assumed i can surely find work some translations, transcriptions, data entry, there are so many things, i can surely find work there...
Well, i gave that up as soon as i learned about everything else. About Revenue Sharing sites, you can even throw survey sites in there for all i care, because i like to register, read the rules and instructions, and then work!
I do not like begging and competing for work... It's like, let me work, and you can see how i'm doing... But if i have to beg you just to give me a job, forget about it.
So while i used to consider these sites Freelance Sites, or Bidding sites... Now i consider them Begging sites, and i don't beg!
Actually the reason i'm writing this article is because i was invited to one job on Elance yesterday, but i just left the email there, and now i logged in and saw the work was already given to somebody else... Maybe i should have applied, since only 1 person applied and got the job. And i could have done the job. And since i was invited to it, it wouldn't be begging... But to be honest, i'd rather write an article on Bubblews, then jump and do some transcriptions, then do some phone call reviews.
Point is, i know what i need to do, i do it, and i'm paid... While on this other stuff you are working for someone who can change what you need to do and how to do it any time and you can't say nothing because they pay you. And you might think that it's the same for a website, a website changes the rules and you can't say anything, true, but i can just never login to the website again and call it a day... It's a little bit harder when you are actually faced with the other person or tied down by a contract and stuff... Nobody owns me, i'd rather die than beg and be owned by somebody...
Anyway.....
Hey, yesterday i got some good news that i wasn't even expecting to get, will be writing about that in an hour or so, i need to take a picture of the mail i received, so i got to connect the camera to the PC or the bluetooth usb, will be done. :)
